Movie Scene - Pulp Fiction

Pulp Fiction Apartment Scene

Pulp Fiction, an award winning film and one of the most influential films of the 1990’s Directed by film legend Quentin Tarantino. The film follows the two main characters Vincent Vega played by John Travolta and Jules played by Samuel L. Jackson through their journey as hitmen working for a gangster. I chose one of the first scenes in the movie as its one of my favorites. The scene starts off with Vincent and Jules entering an apartment to talk to a business partners of their boss, Mr. Wallace. They enter the apartment unwelcome but there to get a briefcase for Mr. Wallace. The scene is an interrogation of the owners of the apartment. The conversation starts off very sarcastic talking about burgers, as he helps himself to some of their food, but changes quickly as shots are fired and people are killed. Jules the one asking the questions gets angry at the men and shoots one almost as a joke but it was to make a point. There is a part in the scene when the dialogue is funny. It’s starts off by Jules asking Brett “what Mr. Wallace looks like?” That is followed by Brett repeating “What?” Multiple times. Jules says “What ain’t no country I ever heard of, They speak English in what?” followed by  “English Mother F***** do you speak it?” Jules then proceeds to recite a bible verse and after Vincent and him then filled Brett with lead. Marvin a young black male starts hyperventilating after seeing n2 of his friends die. After that a man bursted out of the bathroom and unloads a clip at Vincent and Jules, but every shot missed resulting in him being shot to death. Jules ends the scene by calling them surviving Divine Intervention. The Scene Ends by Jules saying “come on N**** lets go” to Marvin. Marvin Then gets his head blown off in the back of a car in broad daylight. This scene sets the tone and plot to the entire movie.
